Today we went to Oshijo Castle in Gyoda, called “a castle in the water” due to being surrounded by the river and marshes. It was built around the year 1700. There is also a museum on the grounds that displays many items that are related to the castle.

Today we went on a tour of the Kirin brewery in Tochigi, Japan. This factory was on of 12 in Japan. I got to taste a new beer named Kirin Premium that is only being served in 12 local restaurants. After tasting the Premium, I have to say that I like it over [...]

I saw a really small interesting looking car today. It was the WiLL Vi and I did not find out that it was made by Toyota until doing a Google search this evening.

Today we went to Zojoji Temple, which is very close to Tokyo Tower. The temple is adorned with statues, flowers, and trees. They also have a couple of interesting trees in the courtyard. One cedar tree has a sign that it was planted by President Ulysses S Grant in 1879. Another tree [...]

We wento to Sensoji (also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) today, which is a Buddhist temple in Asakusa, Japan. It is also on of the oldest temples in Tokyo, being originally built in the year 628. It was really crowded!
