Unbelievable......I just got the email from OLPC on Jan 6 and the package was left on the porch on Jan 3 according to Fedex. I just having this sinking feeling in the stomach.

What can we do about this? Submitting a claim? Aargh!

It's sad that OLPC have decided to waste hours of our time and their time (and probably incur expensive legal fees) just to save $2.50. Penny wise, pound foolish...

[...] I feel real bad for this guy. OLPC has been shipping units via Fedex but not requiring a signature.
Hotep William,

I agree with your sentiments about trying to monetize your blog. Sports owners do it all the time with their stadiums. Anyhow, I recently signed up with PayPerPost, but, I haven't used it yet. I also signed up with www.LoudLaunch.com/ and I've done two posts ($7.50 each) with them. The downside (IMHO) with LoudLaunch is that they have some weird/wack products.

Anyhow, I look forward to visiting your blog again in the future.

Love the concept! Now ... if we could just get everyone to agree to those rules!
Ahhh ... wouldn't life be easier.
