Zojoji Temple

Today we went to Zojoji Temple, which is very close to Tokyo Tower. The temple is adorned with statues, flowers, and trees. They also have a couple of interesting trees in the courtyard. One cedar tree has a sign that it was planted by President Ulysses S Grant in 1879. Another tree has as sign that reads: “This tree was planted by the forty first president GEORGE H*W* BUSH of the United States in memory of his visit to Zojoji temple in 1982 when he was vice president.”
